Primary Position Objective:
The Subcontract Manager position is a key senior member of the site-based subcontract team coordinating subcontract and service agreement through daily interface with subcontractors, service providers, owner representatives, field management team, project management team, and corporate support departments.
The successful candidate will be responsible for project related subcontracts and services assigned to them and their team while directly managing a staff of 3 - 20 Subcontract Administrators and Subcontract Field Coordinators.
The Subcontracts Manager should have subcontract management experience in contracts and subcontractor field oversight with responsibilities for subcontract/services of up to $500 M.
The Subcontracts Manager will possess a commercial/contractual proficiency along with experience in subcontract sourcing, field execution, commercial management, change management, safety, quality, and project controls.
The individual should possess requisite leadership skills to motivate others, work with others, coordinate efforts and require a minimum amount of direction from project or executive management.
This individual will demonstrate effective communication skills and participate in the selection, training, and development of subordinate staff.
Job Requirements Responsibilities and Duties:
Provide strong, effective and decisive project leadership while Managing the project subcontract department.
Oversee the execution of field subcontracts to ensure the work is within the scope and commercial requirements including the safe execution of work, ensuring quality goals are met while completing the work in a timely manner.
Direct the sourcing efforts and make recommendations for award of the project subcontracts to the project leadership along with the recommended support required for the subcontractor's execution.
Analyzes project data in a cost-effective and schedule compliant way by determining if the subcontractors are meeting the commercial requirements and project goals.
Negotiate change orders, claims, disputes for alignment with the commercial terms of the subcontract agreements.
Coordinate the subcontractors' work with the direct labor construction team to achieve the best results for the project.
Establish and maintain effective client relations to achieve active cooperation, team alignment, and stimulate the desire to award follow-on work.
Supervisor The Subcontract Manager reports to the jobsite Project Management Team.
Job Requirements Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities (Include any training, licenses, and certifications):
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university preferred or formal OJT or Apprentice Program.
Minimum 10 years of experience in Subcontract Administration.
Field related working experience in the construction industry working with Subcontractors and/or direct craft.
Budget responsibilities of over $250M.
Proven leadership leading teams of 3- 20 members.
Microsoft Office Valued but not required skills, knowledge, and abilities:
5 years of as a Subcontract Manager Budget responsibilities of over $500M Primavera Software Oracle PMI Certification Physical Requirements Employee will be required to communicate in person, via telephone, email, video chat and software systems.
Must be able to maneuver around a construction site with rough terrain.
Climbing might be required.
Must be able to lift 10 lbs.
Position may include visits to construction sites and industrial facilities requiring mobility (on ground and at heights) and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to:
hardhat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs/muffs, masks/respirators, safety vests, gloves and work boots.
Work Environment Employee will work in multiple environments including an office, warehouse and in a trailer or building on construction sites.
On construction sites, noise levels will be moderate to high.
Job sites may contain the following:
light to heavy equipment vehicles, small to large equipment, materials, communication equipment and tools, people standing, walking, sitting, signaling, and talking.
Noise levels vary and may include bells, whistles, and alarms.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
