The Electrical Project Engineer will support the capital projects group and other site operations activities with engineering principles, expertise, leadership in solving and improving the equipment, processes, and procedures at the site. What You Will Do In Your RoleElectrical and project engineering involving support of the INVISTA Orange Site through design, troubleshooting, project guidance, technological standardization and innovation, maintenance strategies, and energy efficiency activities - Involvement includes project scope development, project estimating, project review, project management, design and implementationDevelop project scopes and estimates, write equipment specifications, review quotes and recommend equipment and materials, size cables, conduit, starters, VFDs, and power distribution equipmentWork will involve managing contractors, schedules, scope development, budgets, checkout, commissioning, start-up and other engineering/management activities as requiredWork individually or with a team to develop the scope and appropriation grade cost estimates for capital projects and participate in justification of projects, specification reviews, drawing reviews, safety reviews, and other project document reviewsProvide detail design support and provide technical assistance to operations, purchasing, project management and construction management Possess the ability to effectively communicate with internal customers, site leadership, contractors and vendors Work closely with other disciplines to develop all aspects of design requirements for each projectProvide pre and post startup assistance to Construction and Operations to assure that all systems are functioning properlyDemonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to travel to other locations in Texas as support is requiredThe Experience You Will BringRequirements:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering5 years Electrical engineering experience in a Chemical Plant, Refinery or heavy industrial facilityExperience with instrumentation.Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite of software including Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Outlook What Will Put You AheadProject management experienceExperience with AutoCAD products Project scheduling and estimatingExperience with Smart Plant instrumentation (SPI)Our goal is for each employee, and their families, to live fulfilling and healthy lives.
